That is ridiculously AWESOME for red oak to be turned that beautiful gray with very little if no pink/red undertones. Did you bleach the floor or do any pretreatment? What sealant did you use after applying the Bona Gray Stain? I’ve heard that for grays you want to use the Bona Traffic HD Commercial Semi-Gloss to prevent yellowing. Is that what you used? Many thanks in advance! I’d like to replicate this look on my stairs down in Houston.

      Thank you Christopher!

There was no bleach used. We water-popped and applied Bona Gray stain followed with two coats of Bona Traffic HD satin. Waterbased finish like Bona Traffic is indeed a good choice, as it won’t yellow over time.
